This publisher carries one of the most extensive selections of books on working abroad and international careers. LatPro.com, www.latpro.com, is an outstanding site for bilingual Americans or Latin Americans seeking work in the U.S. or elsewhere. Liberal Arts Career Services of the University of Texas at Austin, www.utexas.edu/cola/lacs/international_jobs, is a comprehensive web site designed for college students seeking information about international short and long-term opportunities. The Monster Board, globalgateway.monster.com, lists jobs by international location and links to job databases for specific countries. Thousands of jobs are listed, most for engineers or managers and virtually all requiring previous experience. Overseas Digest, www.overseasdigest.com. A meta-search engine for overseas jobs which features some useful resources and articles as well. Overseas Jobs Express, www.overseasjobs.com. British-based site claims to list vacancies that are open to non-citizens of the target country. It has databases of career positions for specific countries or regions. Peace Corps Career TRACK, www.peacecorps.gov. Even if you’re not interested in the Peace Corps, this web site has lots of information about international work and careers. Quintessential Careers, www.quintcareers.com/Global_job_resources.html, provides a nice list of links and excellent articles relating to international work and preparation for international careers. TESall.com, www.tesall.com, is the first vertical search portal for international ESL/TEFL jobs - both long and short-term. United Nations Competitive Recruitment Exam Programme, www.un.org/Depts/OHRM/examin/exam.htm, offers exams which open up professional and language positions to highly qualified individuals within the U.N.
