United States Educational Foundation in India (USEFI): USEFI, also called the Fulbright Commissionis a bi-national organisation set up by the governments of United States and India to help students in India who want to study in the United States. The services that are available to the general public:
- Basic information in person, by mail and on telephone
- Free distribution of standardised test bulletins
- Basic orientation programme and video counselling
- Attestation of academic transcripts
- 'Request for Application Material' (RAM) forms, information packets, study guides
- Admission to US university fairs
The services that are available to library members:
- Use of library resources-books, videos, databases, CD-ROMs, test preparation software
- Individual counselling
- Special seminars, workshops
- Photocopying of permitted library material
- Pre-departure orientations and visa briefings
- Admission to special university fairs
- Information from the Internet
